Dear Friends and Family,

Wow! It is hard to find words to describe the explosion of Bur....se people receiving Christ as their Saviour in the last few weeks. We have now been able to reach into 5 factories around the Bethel Sala. In the last 3 weeks, we have seen another 20 Bur...se people turn from their idols and put their hope in Jesus.

Our Thai Believers are like proud parents rejoicing with us. Seeing and hearing the Bur...se  people laughing, worshipping God in their own tongue is a precious “life highlight” for us all!

Normally, this people group is very discriminated against in Thai society. But the love of Christ has filled our Thai Believers heart.  The birth of this new church was not the result of a few missionaries. The heart to see Bur...se people saved is a burden God has placed in our Thai Believer’s hearts. On Tuesday, our members came to the first Bur...se Bethel Church service and served our new brothers and sisters in Christ with amazing hospitality.

However the birth of this new church has not come without opposition of factory owners or the opposition of the Evil One.

On Monday, our ministry team entered one factory where they found the Bur..se people all gambling and playing cards. Before they could run away, our B Evangelist told his team, “Quick! Start preaching! We have a ready audience right here!”  While Pastor Toon was preaching, the children were punching, fighting and hitting each other, completely disrupting people’s concentration. Our Thai pastor Naat kneeled down in a corner to intercede for the atmosphere to change. As Naat had her eyes closed, one boy came over and slapped Naat hard, in the face. Everyone stopped and gasped. The mother went over to grab the child and beat him but Naat said, “Please don’t hit him! I forgive him.” Naat’s response shocked everyone. That night, the mom and 6 other people from the factory came to the Sala and committed their lives to Christ.

We ask that you would pray for us all. The new Believers need to be guarded in prayer like new born babies. Many new Believers are still scared to come out of the factory.

Please pray Isaiah 61 over this new church. “Lord, we declare that the Bur..se will sing a new song...no longer a song of sorrow and oppression, but a song of praise! Their shame and disgrace has ended. And God will be praised forever for what He has done!” Amen!
