Children’s Ministries

Welcome to PowerSource, the Kids Ministry at Westwood!  Our vision is to partner with parents to Bring Jesus Into Life for the kids by giving them opportunities to:

• Meet Jesus (discover who he is)
• Have community in Jesus (hang out and have fun with other kids and leaders)
• Grow in holiness with Jesus (learn Bible stories and memory verses and how to apply them to life today)
• Participate in world impact through Jesus (show Jesus’ love to others in the world)

Nursery (Birth to 18 months)

In our cheerful, clean and inviting Nursery, we have volunteers who love to play with and rock babies.  We have a               safety check in process and can

 

Toddlers & Twos (18 months to 3 years)

We have introduced the My First Look curriculum in the Toddlers focusing on three basic truths:  God Made Me, God Loves Me and Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever. Through loosely structured age-appropriate lessons, kids will begin to learn these truths and become familiar with memorizing scripture.

 

Preschool (3 to 4 years)

Age-targeted program that teaches Biblical truths through story time, singing, crafts and play centers so that children are trained in the way they should go is what you’ll find in our Preschool class.

 

Elementary (Kindergarten to Grade 5)

Our elementary kids are divided into two classrooms:  Grades K-2 and Grades 3-5, allowing age-targeted programs that teach Biblical truths through interactive large group teaching using drama, music, games, etc., so that children are trained in the way they should go.  The small group time allows kids to ask deeper questions and build significant relationships with adult small group leaders and other kids.
