At Westwood, we believe that Christianity is all about Bringing Jesus into Life. Bringing Jesus into our own lives, as well as bringing him into the lives of others.

To do this we invite you to:

• Discover who Jesus is, through personal experiences, the Bible, and our church family.
• Build meaningful relationships with others that are on the same journey as you.
• Allow for you character, thinking, and behaviours to be transformed as you discover more about Jesus.
• Partner with others in our family to make a difference in the world outside of our family.

What are some next steps you can take?  Get involved!  Following are some of things we use to build connection and impact our community.

LIFE groups

LIFE Groups are an important part to all that we do at Westwood. As our church grows larger on Sunday, we grow smaller during the week. LIFE Groups  are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God and make a difference.

LIFE Groups – At Westwood we believe LIFE is best done together!  So we want to encourage you to get connected by checking out a LIFE Group.  LIFE Groups are groups of people who meet weekly in locations throughout Prince George in order to develop meaningful relationships, grow spiritually (through study and service) and have fun together.

LIFE Groups fall under three distinct categories.

Community Groups

The backbone of our LIFE group ministry where a majority of people will plug in. Made up of approximately 8-15 people this is a great place to meet people, build friendships, work through the Bible and Serve together.  These groups are time limited.  (Next community group sign up January 2012)

Learning Groups

Learning groups are built to meet the requirements of our Christian Life Certificate. Made up of approximately 10-25 people these groups study the Bible or a topic from a Christian perspective. . These groups are time limited.

Care Groups

We all recognize that life happens and sometimes it doesn’t happen very well.  Our life needs are here to help through those times when you need that extra little or big support.  Whether you are dealing with addictions, grief, or simply need someone to help you work through something, our life needs ministries are here for you.

Celebrate Recovery (Celebrate recovery holds an open meeting every Friday 6:30-8:30pm at Westwood)

Do you need a small group experience that is structured on Eight Recovery Principles?  At C.R. you can begin to become free from your hurts, habits and hang-ups, and develop a stronger personal relationship with God. (C.R. is an ongoing group with no end date in order to support folks consistently) Contact: Barb

Just Me and the Kids (Currently Running:  Will run again winter 2012)

An 11 week program to help kids and parents work through the grief associated with loss whether through death, divorce, or another traumatic event.  This course gives you tools to heal relationships and continue on.

Counseling

Want to chat with someone about a personal issue and get some help working through it.  Our counseling ministry is here to support you.

Service Groups

Service groups from to meet a specific, need/calling in our community or church. These groups are both time limited and ongoing.
