• Join us for a combined worship service for all ages at 9:15 am.
• Childcare for kids from birth to age four is available during the service.

Serve Together – 10:30am-12:00pm

• Outside the church:
  • Clean up public spaces (parks, walkways, etc.) and offer obvious help, i.e. if someone is outside his yard and the yard needs raking
  • Garbage bags and gloves to be provided by the City of Prince George
  • Participants should bring rakes, shovels, and/or gardening gloves.
• In the church:
  • Childcare provided for children from birth to 2 years.
  • Children aged 3 years and older serve with their family.
  • Set up auditorium with round tables and chairs for lunch.
  • Lunch preparation.

Eat Together – 12:00pm

• Join us for a hot dog, soup and bun lunch.

Before she married, Agnes Wicki of Prince George, B.C., taught school in what is now DR Congo. Then came marriage, motherhood, and retirement from a Canadian teaching career. After her children (including Port Alberni church planter Paul Wicki) moved out one by one, Wicki once again took to the mission field.

As a cousin talked about the trip she’d taken to Ukraine with MB Mission’s Disciple Making International outreach, Wicki thought, “If she can do it, I can do it!” She started with Ukraine – one trip by herself, one her husband.

Join us May 24 and 25 for a Worship seminar with Andy Park, worship leader, author, pastor and songwriter (In the Secret, The River is Here, Multiply Your Love and many more).

Friday evening and all day Saturday (lunch provided) we’ll worship together and learn from Andy’s 30+ years experience as a well known church leader.

Sunday May 26 join us for a Worship Concert with Andy. Admission is by donation, with a suggested donation of $10.

This event is co-hosted by Timbers Community Church and Westwood Church in Prince George, BC.

Ryan Beer

Recommendation as a Candidate for

Youth Ministries Pastor

The Youth Ministries Pastor Search Team and the Board of Elders are recommending that Ryan Beer be candidated for the position of Youth Ministries Pastor.

Ryan is married to Amanda and they have two boys, Keenan age 5 and Ansen age 2.  Ryan has attended Briercrest College and Mount Royal College, and is currently the Youth Pastor at Ocean Crest Community Church in Campbell River (since 2006).  He has also served as a Youth Pastor and religious teacher in Nairobi, Kenya in 2005-06 and 2011. During that time he helped found the Morning Star Children’s Home (orphanage).  He has coordinated short-term missions in downtown Vancouver, New York and Mexico.

Ryan is a dynamic and vibrant Christian who has a passion for youth to know God.  His spiritual conviction is to disciple youth towards a deeper personal relationship with the Lord through imparting biblical wisdom and encouraging maturity in study and service.

April 28 – Congregational Vote to candidate Ryan.

May 9-12 – Candidating weekend with Ryan and Amanda.

• Thursday – Friday
  • Ryan will be involved in all youth activities.
• Friday – Sunday
  • Ryan and Amanda will have various meetings with the elders, staff, search team, and leadership team.
•  Sunday
  • Ryan and Amanda will share their testimonies.  Ryan will share his vision for youth ministries, and will also speak at Crave.
  • There will be an open house (dessert potluck) in the afternoon for the congregation to meet Ryan and Amanda.

May 26 – Congregational vote to hire Ryan (if recommended by both search team and board).
