Presence of the Future

What happens when the world ends?

That’s a loaded question, isn’t it?  Bookstores are full of ideas about the end of time, but what does the Bible itself actually say?

Over the years, “eschatology” is a word that many Christians have often associated with “end times” or “future events.”  But what is eschatology?  Biblical eschatology does far more than simply satisfy our curiosity for “how it is all going to end”, and it gives meaningful insight into God’s purposes for all of his creation.

This two session seminar will provide a brief overview of the nature of biblical eschatology, with a focus upon the idea of “the kingdom of God” and the “resurrection of the body” as central themes of the Christian’s future hope.  These two themes will then inform what we can expect in regard to two pressing questions:

What happens when we die?

What can we expect at the return of Christ?
